ME and the Archenemy

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

I hate winter. I. Hate. HATE. Winter. I hate how in Wisconsin it attacks fall. I hate kills the gorgeous autumn trees. I hate how it attacks me. I am a fighter. When I am attacked, I will always fight back. But how am I supposed to fight winter?

Winter attacks my nose, causing constant nose bleeds.
Winter attacks my throat, causing me to cough up some blood.
Winter attacks my hands, causing them to crack and bleed.
Basically, I am beaten badly by the evil season.

In a counter attack, I shall attack its holy holiday. Christmas. A holiday that I hate almost as much a the season.

This December, it is time to choose sides.

My first attack will be unleashing my dinosaurs.

My existence is being threatened by the cold weather.  This is my effort to stay warm...

It is that time of year

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

It is that time of year, when the leaves turn and the weather starts becoming chill. I start dragging out my sock monkey hat and snow boot and long to be cuddled up in my bed twenty four hours a day. To cox my self to get out of bed to eat and work, I must turn my thermostat way up. This causes my nose to go to forty degree outdoors to eighty degree indoors, which lead to nose bleeds.

So If you see me from now until May when WI warms up, I shall have a tissue nose.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Life if full of choices. Some are simple like what to eat for lunch. Some are more complicated like where to  move to begin your adult life. Believe it or not I am an adult. I firmly believed my life would be set in Boston working for a children publishing company. But as I sit in my room with the heat on as high as it will go, I am thinking maybe I am not supposed to be in the cold. It's only 60 degrees in Wisconsin, yet I am ready once again to hibernate. Maybe it's because I grew up on the edge of the South,  maybe it's because I spend a lot of time in Florida, or maybe I am just a wimp. I am sure as soon as it starts getting really cold I will toughen up.

Well I am going to celebrate national read a book day with the cure and my new book
